Reducing Alt Abuse Situations

Hello everyone, I wanted to make a quick post here that is directed towards some of our newer players. The mod team has been seeing a lot of reports recently regarding alt accounts joining in the middle of your games, specifically in world map games, to fund and support main accounts. This action is often repeated by the same player and provides and obviously unfair advantage in the game. The mod team does our best to quickly address any alt account abuse, but it can take some time, allowing the offending player to continue to get an unfair advantage.

If you wish to reduce the risk of an alt account joining your game, you can change the following settings before you start your game:

1) In the basic settings, set the "Allow joining until turn" value to 0
2) In the advance settings, deselect the box that says "Allow rejoining"

These two changes will reduce the risk of alt accounts joining in the middle of your game. Obviously if someone joined with an alt at the start of the game, the host can kick the alt account before starting the game and/or ask for a moderator to address the situation.

People also takes advantage of the temporary premium in new accounts. That's not very nice.

Or create a game that doesn't allow low rank like 1 or 2? Right? Wouldn't that eliminate the alt issue?
