I know there are screenshots of much worse battle results and no one still changes it. Finally SF started that suggestion and I really hope admins gonna change it... I hope they're gonna do at least that.

Ofc not but hard to deny that there isnt a wild variance in the rolls results. Its the lotto rolls that are the problem. The freak rolls that fuckup a game.

From experience if two players from the same team attack one city they end up getting shitty rolls.

actually they get stack bonus from each others i have seen that alot in ww1 due to the variety in team locations
two days ago i sent 5 dreadnaughts(16) to attack 40 unit and my ally (powerplanet) sent 40 unit~ as well and my dreanaughts did not deal less then 8 not even one hit as they got the stack bonus while if you try to send the dreadnaughts alone their rolls will vary in the down side infact i got my idea of making minimal rolls half in that map as i have noticed that when units get +16 damage in big stack will never deal less then 8 needless to say that sending 20 att unit will never be dealing less then 10 unless vastly out numbered and im not sure of this info but never seen it rolling less then 8 but im not sure they ever rolled 8 anyways as for 26defense unit unit it never rolls less then 10-15 even when alone those information are available in ww1 map as exists a unit with max damage 16/26/21

Read the post correctly, I am well aware that this is not the battle decider, though it should give a very basic indicator for us noobs. (the other indicators actually benefit the defender more in this scenario)

Read the post correctly, I am well aware that this is not the battle decider, though it should give a very basic indicator for us noobs. (the other indicators actually benefit the defender more in this scenario)

in the current system how ever the attackers are meant to win because the difference between 5 and 8 is not that much compared to the units amount and i say again refer to the example rolls in this topic https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=35753

i respect your opinion but 1 point i have already explained in my quote to chess in this thread that split troops get stack bonus and im certain about this i had 5 17 attack units attacking 40 unit alongside my ally's 40-50 unit stack and they kept rolling +8 while they can actually roll 3 and those units are dreadnaughts in ww1 you can view some examples about them and their rolls here https://atwar-game.com/forum/topic.php?topic_id=19320
while what i have seen is that they never rolled less then 8 with big ally stack :/

To correct what i had said i just found out that +15 damage roll will always deal at least half(exactly what im suggesting for all units) so it has nothing to do with the ally stack bonus thingy im not sure if the allies take the stack bonus anymore

if the game is acting according to what its meant to be then 10 units with same states additional to 9 critical shall beat 9 units without critical and - 7hp + stack bonus
and no send 10 inf against 9 militia you will win 9/1 times but it ranges alot alot... the difference between 2inf left and 7 inf left and none is too wield.. ps: long ago we always used to send +1 the number of militia and win but at a certain point that had a change that i do not understand.. nobody failed 4inf vs 3 long ago ask any old player
