Sure why not, but theres still significant variance in the rolls, it wont reduce the luck factor by that much at the end of the day.

I highly doubt you had got such battle, unless the "battle stack" bonus influences it. Even 40 vs 30 both PD seems to be way too weird.
Behind say, if what you want to remove is the luck then you might ask for make all the units roll their preset attack instead.

i actually agree with clovis. In big stack vs small stack battles, ive noticed the normal non critical hit rolls are consistently higher, not just the number of crits that occur too. Check it out yourself. The best solution would be this ^^. It would complete remove any variance.

Or perhaps an option to lower critical chance, since having a miracle occur is nice to be possible

The dice has more weight than a critical, removing the critical of a unit will make no difference in halting op lucky rolls. maybe the lowest roll that a unit could get should be 1/4 of their attack/defense value.

Chess is right, Luck is to much unpredictable. 4 tanks can win against 8 infantry and 10 couldnt somethimes
he mean that a unit roll minimum 25% of his current attack/def for example a unit has 8 def so the roll will go from 2 to 8 and not from 0 to 8 but i would say that 50% are much better
