Player of The Year 2016
Hello gentlemen.
The PoTY awards are back once again. The 2015 awards reignited the communities interest in the project, with its new voting and nomination process, therefore we are happy to announce that the PoTY awards are back once again to tear communities and friends apart.I am aware that At-War saw substantial player growth this year so if you aren't aware or familiar with what the PoTY awards are refer to PoTY 2014 and PoTY 2015.
Much like last year, the winner is determined through community vote with the alternate vote system, and players are no longer restricted to 12 predetermined picks.
The Moderator team is still discussing its set of picks but for the time being we open this opportunity to the rest of you. Feel free to nominate players who you find deserving of the awards below(or PM me), provide reasoning as to why you think they deserve the award.

I wasn't going to bother with this issue but as it seems that POTY is happening (I assumed it wouldn't) the following needs to be said. Should be called PPOTY (popular player of the year), not seeing the obvious name that should have been said which is Clovis. As much as 99% of players have something against him (including me on some matters), doesn't mean he shouldn't be given the same opportunity as everyone else for the award. Just something to keep in mind, I'v seen him work hard in first half of year updating threads mods gave up on, keeping up to date with tournaments, and evening coding a whole atWar calculator. I just hope this isn't a repeat of 2015 where a player got the award for making a Fun Screenshots thread likely due to his small popularity spotlight at that time.

Support. Although I think clovis is a jerk he does deserve to be POTY... haven't ever seen anyone else work their ass off like Clovis. Probably should give him mod position as well. I don't see why not?

Thanks for the nomination. But actually a lot of the things that I did the past year were in cooperation with other players, it wouldn't be fair if I just took the credit for it. Research such as the priorities, the update to my guide or the battle stacking bonus, and stuff like the NPP or other (failed) projects had their initial push by supporters or particular players. Even you cooperated with me to make the battle calculator possible so... I'd rather not account for any of those. Individual contributions were few (if any). I can tell that, at least, some people deserves the chance to be considered more than me.

I would nominate Prometheus (reasons was given by civecnavi), Cold Case (agree with Clovis reasons, he's a nice clan leader), JFreders (for his work on train low ranks to become them very good players and make a very good new clan) and Sun Tzu (for his tries of keep atWar pretty alive).

Player of the year is meant to be based on a players contributions to the community, not their skill or in game accomplishments. Cold case and Clovis are respectable nominations due to their efforts. I havent been very active myself so cannot comment on any of the others. There may be a lot going on behind the scenes that we dont see.

Almost anyway from staff i would suggest Sun Tzu, most active from all staff it seems from players Nifty he had make so much maps, and he regulary invest his time in hosting maps, i would give vote to Cold Case to
