Adopt a Newb is a program which I propose to the AtWar community. The idea is that a rank 6+ has the ability to "adopt" a new player. The goal is for the higher rank to help out the lower rank until they finally reach rank 6. Whenever they are in the same game, they are automatically allies and this alliance cannot be broken.
The idea is to build leadership skills for higher ranks, give lower ranks a chance at actual games rather than being eliminated within 5 turns and to build friendships between the higher ranks and lower ranks rather than having a few groups of friends.
This idea obviously needs some work done to it, but this is just the basics. For high and low ranks, this program is completely optional. Low ranks will be able to opt out of the program at any time but high ranks will need a reason to opt out so they will not just abandon new players.

Sure this is very possible, but as others said, you need a newb who will commit to it. And that's hard to find nowadays.

Well, it goes with the subject, in motocross you dont want to go slow. Ricky is the fastest guy there is. Thats what he said to some of his riders who to him might seem kinda like "noobs"

I'd like to be an apprentice. I did pretty well in the Beginner's Lobby but am getting destroyed in the regular games  I definitely need to learn some things.I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

Problem is that many of them are reluctant to learn anything, thinking everyone plays like in Beginner's. However when they then reach Rank 4 they just get crushed in Main, really wish new players were less ignorant, but of course I'm not saying all of them are unwilling.

Well we could sticky a thread of high rank volunteers (and describe alittle about them and what strats they know to use best) and same way with the lower ranks and let them do the same with what they need to work on and then match it up like that? I support the idea and would love to volunteer.

Sometimes they are, sometimes the 7 and 8 are just not good! think if a nub is only playing 3v3's and 1v1's and EU 5K and stuff like that, and the 7 is only playing UN. The standard of players in aw has changed a bit. A see some 7's and 8's "beatable"
