Added: It would also be nice to have some sort of 'eternal best' list, where the 10 highest Elo ratings in the history of atWar are shown, with the names of the respective players.

It would be nice idea if it was realistic and fair.

But it would make people would farm and would duel more low ranks etc etc etc just for getting a big peak elo that would be not realistic.

Let´s show too the peak reps, you could see how everybody is farmnig reps from the next day.

Are you trying to troll me? I answered so often to your posts and asked you to read what I wrote on this topic before. This is my a last attempt, I will quote it for you:

Every big game nowadays has ranking systems for their competitive game modes, most use the Elo rating system, which was also recently introduced for clan wars in atWar. The Elo rating system calculates the relative skill levels of players, in a way that rewards actual skill rather than simply beating thousands of noobs. Now that i have made my case for Elo, if you still want you can get more detailed information on the ranking system, on the according page on Wikipedia.

I´m not trolling you, instead, u looks like don´t want to admit what i´m talking about.

I know how elo system works, elo is known in lot of games, and it becomes from chess long time ago and the system is basic and easy.

And i repeat to you, farming is possible when a player with high elo, duel a noob or low rank who probably does not have skills or even doesn´t know what is a duel or elo points.

It´s not simply, especially when players do it on porpuse and cause we are not talking simply to duel a low rank, u can be rank 10 and beat a rank 8, you can be rank 8 and beat a rank 7 that´s not farming,farming is when you are rank 8 9 10 11 12 and you are dueling ranks 3 4 5 ... or incluse ranks 8 or 9 that you know perfectly they are rp players or his elo is 850 and you know perfectly he is so bad and he´s not on your level ( that is supossed why you are asking for the setting range elo in duels), SO MAN, don´t duel him.

Do u imagine Capablanca dueling childs in secundary school and increasing his elo basically with a 5% of his skills? "IS THAT FARMING OR NOT"?

In your opinion and goblin opinion and more players opinion surely no cause he´s free for dueling whatever he wants and it´s the ranks 3 problem cause they want to join.

And the last one thing, do u really imagine Capablanca doing that and besides that, also asking to the chess federation for a setting elo range for his chess games?

To be fair, there should be something similar that you are asking about, but like leagues.

For example, posibilities for dueling only by ranks levels ranges or elo points ranges.

A rank 12 never could duel a rank 5, or rank 8 against 3, or 1500 elo player couldn´t duel a less than 1200 1100 or whatever amount of elo points.

That´s the only way where elo points would be realistic.

In that case your problems will dissapear if u really wanted for it.

No it is not farming, for the reasons outlined above. If you still want to argue send me a personal message.
The reason i'm asking you to do this is because your argument is completely irrelevant in this thread. Send me a pm if you want to argue, do not enter all my threads and try to attack me personally. This is a forum for ideas, not for you calling me a farmer. (With farming not even being possible.)

No it is not. It is approaching the abstract skill value with the number shown in game. Since the account is mine it will of course 'approach' my level of skill. The mistake you make is to confuse the notion of rank, which really only reflects the time spend in game, with the skill of a player, represented in Elo rating.

You disagree with the idea because it is me who uttered it. This is exactly what you shouldn't do, try to separate the idea from the person.

I think that you are who is a bit short of mind man.

I have told you thatat like 3 or 4 times, i think it would be a nice idea (being realistic) if it was fair and should have been asked by a fair player and everybody would use it properly but i´m disagree cause the own player who is asking for it is a farmer and cause there are lot of farmes who would go on doing the same.

That is the reason cause i tod several times NO SENSE in this petition.

OMG, this is the last thing i expected to read about you man.

I don´t confuse anything man, your new account reflects that u are rank 2 or 3 or 4 but that´s not the time that "you", and not your "supossed" account spent in the game.

You have spent about 4 years lol and your skills are 4 or 5 times better than thoose players you are dueling, players with a mont or weeks in the game, (THAT´S CALLED FARMING SO HARD)

So please don´t try to convince and/or manipulate me with your words that we both know perfectly what are we talking about.
