You do realize china would be fucked without the murricans buying theyre cheap shit right? You also realize gaddafi will get killed by a carpet bomb sometime soon? And you even put Russia up there? WW3 can't happen beause everyone is practically allied with murrica because without murricas aide they'd still be some piss-ant balkan country, then again the EU is breaking as we speak, so kudos to france and germany for telling the others to fuck off. The current political framework will not allow for a Third World War anytime soon. It's perfectly within the West's rights to intervene in Libya IMHO, but not so sure about Iraq and Afghanistan all those years back. The Arab states won't dare to fuck with Israel after they've been hit so hard in past wars with the Also, Russia and China don't actively support Gaddafi, they've only condemned the NATO intervention. There may not be a World War 3, but a war between India and Pakistan is a possibility. They both have nuclear weapons and that's really the only thing holding each other back. As long as Muslims are the majority in Jammu and Kashmir, that distant possibility exists, though mediators for peace would probably quickly appear as such a war has a great potential of being extremely destructive for the sub-continent in all senses. But thankfully, it's a possibility, thanks to our good friend the H-bomb. Finally, even if the EU breaks up (which is unlikely now with the Eurozone), not much would change. Territorial borders are now practically sorted along ethnic borders save for maybe France and Italy (gibe Nizza back plos). But still, these issues would likely not cause any major conflicts, let alone military conflicts.

And you forgot mentioning koreas, they never actually signed peace since 1960's. also demonstrations in syria could make a new war, syrian leader is known to be in close relations with iran, so NATO would find a tough bombing target

Nice job Yoba, totally agree- but one thing comes to mind, human beings find themselves the smartest/niest creatures on earth, when in fact we have nuclear weapons- I dont get why we just dont prohibate the use of nuclear arms in the event of war, we all know that dropping nukes fucks you and your opponent over from nuclear winter and toxic rad clouds and whatnot, so again why not just prohibate the use of them? I asked my dad this once and he responded with "the countrys that have them dont care if they die they just want you dead" or something like that.

Nuclear winter is pretty unlikely unless hundreds upon hundreds of nukes are dropped on a relatively small strip of land but it is a horrid possibility. Radiation is not toxic... LOL. It can "poison" you though. They act as a deterrent. No country would be batshit insane enough to use them, not even Iran probably. See this article, it's a very interesting concept indeed. But nukes can't be un-invented so as long as there is memory of how they work, they will exist, you can count on that. I don't think a country will ever fully disarm unless it wants to be neutral, either. It's just so inhuman. Even in a theoretical scenario of a war where a country desperate to not be defeated threw its nukes at another which also owned nuclear weapons and utterly destroyed it... I can see the government of that country not wanting to retaliate. It would just cause more grief for no reason. A disgustingly dystopian future, the stuff of legends. So yeah... let's hope my theory is correct and your dad is wrong should such a dreadful conflict break out.
Oh come on... you're a smart man, surely you use a decent browser--in other words--one that comes with a spell checker?!

The world has been at war for a very long time. The only difference is that such wars cannot be fought openly due to nuclear weapons. They are fought economically and via proxie wars. There's alot of Sabre rattling but the core of the proxy wars take place along pipelines. Gas and oil pipelines. The reason for the war with Gaddafi is obvious. He intended to sell oil for gold rather than dollars. Such a trade would cripple the US economy and hurt European nations who cannot afford to give away their gold. He intended on getting Africa and the Middle East on board which is why Libya is the target of such vehement attack. All the recent news stories are usually propaganda lies. He never bombed his own people, Russian satellites detected no such bombing raids. They aren't being told to rape civilians. NATO is bombing the cities. One thing they didn't mention was that one bombing killed his wife and kids. The West wants to justify this war so the make things up. We've been doing this for hundreds of years. Nothing has changed.

If you knew what you were talking about, then perhaps you could discuss. You have previously stated that your government has your best interests and you trust them to do the right thing. Such a nieve statement nullifies any statement you make. You aren't edgy by claiming ignorance or pretending you are ''above all this.'' In reality, you know very little. For someone who knows so little yet you also claim to be so profound. If you don't want to discuss, simply walk away. If you do, at the very least try to understand what is being said.

Please... you render me speechless. Your very essence speaks of paranoia and distrust. You have no idea what an oppressive regime is like. You're a musical artist living in London, in the UK, in one of the most open and free societies in the world. You have no idea how it is to live in a country where saying the things that you say would get you at the very least jailed for a few weeks, let alone worse. You are scum. To put it simply, you do not deserve me to abase myself to your level to argue with your pathetic drivel. You deserve ad hominem arguments thrown at you like rotten eggs. You are so convinced of being the only one "with your eyes open" that it would be like arguing with an empty pot. Worse in fact: at least an empty pot makes a sound like the wind when you press it to your ear. You say I'm trying to be edgy and profound, when in fact I'm being mainstream and accepting that, although there are cover-ups, and things we don't know about, the governments in the west usually try to do what is in the interest of their own people, and even in the interest of others sometimes. You say that I'm edgy and profound, but you cannot see that you're the one who has lost sight of what is true and what is fiction. By trying to be as counter-cultural and "independent" as possible, you have forsaken reasonable and "approved by the majority" thought. Let me guess: on top of being a massive conspiracy theorist, on top of being a closet Nazi and a eugenicist, you're probably one of the very wise and pontificating global warming deniers. It's funny, because by trying to be so "not-mainstream" you fit very well into the stereotype of die-hard Republicans in the United States. Not something to be proud about, in my opinion. I'm sincerely glad that I'm not like you. I accept that there is evil and foul play in the world, and I commend those who take it upon themselves to fight this. But the West is not an inherently evil place. Your government is not out to get you, it is not out to kill Arabs, it is not trying actively to deceive you. There are people in the government who try to do this, and they are flushed out when the majority finds out. See: Wikileaks, the phone-hacking scandal, the Watergate scandal and more. The intervention in Libya is a combination of many factors. Firstly, Gaddafi was killing his own countrymen with violent force. Secondly, Libya is right in Europe's back yard. It's the same reason as for why Europe intervened in Yugoslavia: it's close, it's practical. It has very little to do with Libya's tiny oil reserves. You're fucking deluded if you think countries still try this kind of crap after the Irak fiasco. I don't even know why I'm even still arguing with you, since you're one of these people who are so entrenched in their positions, it's impossible to get you out. You just like arguing for the sake of arguing; in fact, I've noticed that you differ from others of your kind in one way: you don't actively spread your shitty opinions around like some of them do. Which leads me to believe you're just someone who enjoys winding others up to some extent with your provocative and counter-cultural views. All I can say, as before, is that I'm rather glad you're part of a tiny, albeit vocal, minority and that you will not have any real power in my lifetime or those of my children. Because here in the West, where both you and I live, thanks to state-backed, state-funded programs to increase the wealth of the people, the majority are educated enough to think for themselves somewhat; the media is wide-spectrum enough to give an accurate enough, unbiased picture of the world we live in. You're a loser. You're pretty much as bad as the fundamental islamists you hate so much. You would impose your fascist worldview on everyone who disagrees with you, if you had the chance. Under your own proposed regime, therefore, people like you would be arrested for having radically different ideas. Fuck you.

That was the most pathetic too long didn't read argument I have ever read. You call Libya oppressive. Did you know what Libya was like before Gaddaffi? Before the union? It was split up tribes and different militaries. The Libyan people love him so who are we to claim otherwise? They have the same average income as Russia, a similar GDP to Italy. Healthcare, roads. They have things the average Africa can only dream of. They are building an artificial river to rival the Nile. It will create massive areas of farmland and fresh water. They have never taken any loans from the UN and are almost entirely self sufficient. Now NATO is bombing the Libyan people, funding jihaddist rebels who have already agreed to a 30 year Israeli base and an oil central bank. Do you really think this rag tag group even know what a central bank is or does? They are pawns. The plan to sell oil for gold and spread the idea to nearby Africans and Arabs would have crippled the US dollar and Europe. Do you actually believe European leaders give a shit about Libyan people? The same people they are bombing? What evidence is there he killed civilians? What of the Russia sats that picked up no such bombing? You swallow whatever your government tells you. You say I am entrenched. No. I am very open minded. >"approved by the majority" Oh, you are such a muppet. The same majority that doesn't even vote anymore, the same majority that detests invasions and debts but does nothing about it? The same majority who just apatheticlly accepts government tyranny. Its funny to claim that we live in an open free society. A society where if a man defends his home, he is arrested. When another speaks their mind, they are arrested or ostracized. >thanks to state-backed, state-funded programs to increase the wealth of the people That's why the gap between rich and poor is larger than it ever was for decades? Right? >the majority are educated enough to think for themselves somewhat; the media is wide-spectrum enough to give an accurate enough, unbiased picture of the world we live in. HA HA HA, they believe what they are told and anyone who actually does think for themselves is called a nut. They believe what they are told. You believe what you are told. Just a little bit of curiosity would show you how wrong you are. That entire message was pointless, long and winded. You are so nieve. You have absolute trust in how government works, even as it is collapsing around you. Like you said, all you can do is throw Ad Hominem, you will never debate. By all means, I am more than up for it but you wont. You're a coward, a nieve coward who will never investigate or acknowledge any information that doesn't go along with your world view. > Fascist Keep calling me that. You clearly have no idea what it even means. Neither does it fit my political view.

Yoba, I'm not a troll. But you are correct. He is a fool to think the majority is educated when most will vote on a smile rather than someones actual political views or background. For people, it is simply too much effort to find out political motives or agendas behind politicians. Which is why in both the US, UK and most political countries they steer ;left/right/left/right without realizing they are both the same.

Didn't claim this at all. A strongman unify tribes doesn't make a country a good place to live in. Try again.
Indeed. It is undeniable that Gaddafi has done good for Libya, despite his eccentricities. Never did I claim otherwise. What he should have realised, though, what many strongmen/dictators always fail to realise, is that by increasing the living standards of people in their country, inevitably, these people start to demand more political freedom and accountability. Seeing this is a threat, Gaddafi had a knee-jerk reaction and, as soon as hints of a rebellion started, he overreacted massively, killing his own people who dared protest against him, asking for greater rights.
Here we go again. You're really a typical conspiracy theorist. Jews are out to get you man. They're out there, waiting in the shadows; they're gonna engineer the downfall of Britain man, and it starts in Libya with our rightful oil. NATO is bombing Qaddafi and his army. Bombs do not discriminate between humans (yet). Qaddafi lives in Libya, with other innocent Libyans. Wars are messy, wars are dirty.

I prefer it my way. You claim it is spinning in your direction. How will it spin for you when we reach past peak oil where it requires one barrel of oil to get a barrel of oil? The US 70 trillion dollars worth of debt continues rising? They reached their debt ceiling yesterday. So you trust the US and Europe over Russia? We are attacking a sovereign nation, bombing its people and funding a rebellion against its government. You think that is ''right''? You see, this is why you are so ignorant. You literally know almost nothing and anyone who explains to you why you are wrong, is a paranoid fascist fool. Our economics collapsed, before when such a thing occurred we had economic growth to depend on and bountiful resources. Now we don't. The richer are getting richer, the poorer poorer. Every single Brit is in 250K worth of debt. All to bail out private companies who failed. Every Irishman is in 500L debt, the US is along the similar line. They are going to tax you more to pay for it, cut your public services and take more of your money. All of which lines the pockets of those who made such giant mistakes. And yet you still think it is spinning in your direction. 90% of the worlds food depends on oil. It's getting more expensive, harder to get to. I have explained many times, in just 200 years, oil has boosted our population by 5 and a half BILLION. Once it goes, we're going to see the biggest drop in population in human history. All in your direction? You really are an idiot.

>Does't make it a good place to live So constant war between tribes is good is it? One of the richest countries in Africa? >Gaddafi had a knee-jerk reaction and, as soon as hints of a rebellion started And where did this hint come from? When did hundreds of thousands of Libyans suddenly have twitter accounts and you tube accounts claiming freedom in Libya despite the fact they have incredibly low internet numbers? Where is the proof he bombed his people? Oh yes, the UK and US government. The same governments in danger from an African oilman selling his oil in gold. It's not like they had to make things up to justify a war? Do you actually think we are there to help these people? You say this war is messy. Who is it for? You are calling ME the fascist buzzword yet you are content with bombing a sovereign nation and its people? This is exactly what I mean, you strawman and throw insults then contradict yourself. How are you helping people by bombing them and setting up central banks and army bases? The army sided with him, the people sided with him. WHy are you not happy with what this so called ''majority'' decides. The rebels are losing. They dont have support.

I myself will contribute to finding alternative ways of producing energy and keeping the world spinning. don't get me wrong: I do not like Big Oil and their agenda. I am aware that they have waaaay too much influence over governments, even the biggest governments. I know of peak oil, and I'm of the opinion that the sooner we reach it, the sooner humans will jolt themselves into real action on weaning ourselves off the oil addiction. On this, it seems, we agree.
Yes I do. Long-time democracies, relatively free and open societies, media separate from the state; only a fool would trust Russia over anyone else on matters that do not directly concern Russia (and even then...). They are funding a people's movement against an autocrat who threatened to unleash violence on these people.
I miss-spoke when I said the world will keep spinning in my direction; it was too general a statement. I am many things, but ignorant is not one of them. the economics haven't collapsed, you're just being wildly alarmist to give yourself more weight in the argument.
Please don't insult your (and my) intelligence by pretending you know jack shit about economics. Debt and money produced by financial institutions has very little meaning in the real worldm outside of sock markets.
Whether that statistic is correct or not, you're right here in that we depend too heavily on oil and that has to change.
Again, I miss-spoke. I meant to say in terms of general political direction, Britain will go the way I choose, not yours.
