Not sure if this is the first time you are hearing this but the game isn't a democracy.
Your are free to add suggestions and discuss about the approved/disapproved threads but at the end of the day we(moderators and admins) are the ones getting the finally say.

Well we haven't tried PM'ing every single mod (at least I had not or had hear anyone having done so). So we cannot really say it won't work.
Yes Meester can you explain more about this? If it was a complain or a demand, I would understand (we can't force anyone to do anything). But a petition... If my definition of what 'petition' means (I've googled it), then making a thread about strategies are already a petition.
Fair enough. Should had include this along with moderator's actions since you guys are players, too.
Agree with meester here. Let's start using those forums!
Agree with Meester, again.... Let's start using those forums!
Here's where I disagree (with meester). Check at my guides for example, I've left a lot of bugs posted there. I can, of course, post them all in bug forum. But they would go out-of-context. The idea behind leaving those bugs in a single, specialized thread is that if anyone else wishes to contribute, he can do it right there. Of course, once again, all those bugs were reported... [LINK]Tips, Tricks and Common knowledge about AtWar. This thread had reason to stay in general forum regardless of the hundreds of bugs that it had posted there.... since all the information, bug or not, does fit with the theme of the thread, which is mostly for general information. But Laochra moved it to strategy forum regardless of this....
Those threads are so damm inactive that I kinda agree with Pavle here... We still don't have enough MapMakers for them to require a whole forum. But is not like leaving all them in general is a better suggestion anyway...
Won't quote pavle here (nice pointing out names). This is a good one as long as both the user and the mod can agree where the thread belongs to. I've been saw recently a lot of threads that are AW-related being moved to off-topic. And I certainly disagree that a thread is moved to off-topic when it does have relationship with the game. Sometimes we don't write about one specific moderator or one specific action, but about the behaviors. I believe this is the reason Cthulhu extend the rules to give moderators the power to act in those threads. This specially applies to my threads, since I believe the rest of threads against mods were breaking rules. I've grave the idea to simply move those threads to moderator forum, where the mods can discuss the case and give that user an appropriated reply, but Cthulhu is (still?) considering this...

Oh, I would like if you can make a new thread, locked and stocked with the whole FAQ. So leaving this one just for a brief discussion between the mods and the rest of the players. I really like what you're trying to do here, meester

IMO a strategy cannot be changed through petition, sorry but the masses don't always know the right things in this context. What Meester meant anyways was making a petition, forcing admins to try and change something, that is frowned upon. It's their game, you might not like some things, by all means get out. He's also saying petitions against certain players (like the ones currently in off-topic) shouldn't be allowed.

Far too lazy to break your quote down and reply to them individually so here goes. Lets start with petitions. Too be honest all form of petitions are frowned upon, even ones asking a strategy nerf/boost. Reason being that giving this privilege to all players is far to dangerous. Player are not interested in the game balance, they are far more concerned about protecting their favorite strategy from being nerf and are all for it when its being boosted. Next up bugs and glitches. We should keep all bugs and glitches recorded in a single forum simply because it makes it easier for the admin to find and solve it. Having the bug reports scattered around the forum only makes it that much more difficult to address. Players can still add to a reported bug by simply posting in its threads or creating a separate one in the bug forum. The showcase section however is a completely different story. All forum announced maps should be centered there. To say that no one visits the forum is a major understatement. If you do in fact advertise your map properly players should already be flocking to your thread and host your map.

Well for the rule of making topics about a moderator in question here is my opinion about it: I don't really think you could take that away from the people (the community) since they are the ones who are dealing with the moderators. We should be able to express our opinions and talk about the good and bad things of a mod. Critic is a well known word and it is used almost everywhere, even in online games, I don't get how afterwind doesnt belong in that section? Alot of wrong actions have been made by several mods, and thanks to those threads we knew about those actions. Talking with the moderator in question won't solve anythingy directly, since the moderator will think he is in the right and his actions were right, getting comments from unbiased people (who weren't in this situation) could clear alot of things. I speak of my experience that pr'ing ''any active moderator'' is useless, since the responses I got back were '' It is between you and the moderator in question, go solve it out together''. Which was practicually impossible since the mod ignored me and wouldn't and possibly couldn't explain himself. Alot of threads have been deleted or moved for basically no reason at all, but the actions of the moderators were justified with 2 simple awnsers: ''It wen't off-topic'', ''This is troll''.

Off-topic posts deleted. Please stay on topic.
I am not sure about you sending a message to all mods Waffel. I personally have never received a message from you detailing the problem you had with a mod. If I did at the very least I would make a post about it on the mod forum for further reviewing. Making a forum post about the issue is not a way to solve a problem. No matter how well you try to describe a situation it is impossible to give an unbiased view of the situation, so it is darn well near impossible to get "comments from unbiased people (who weren't in this situation)" as your story would already be one sided.

Well I start in inverse order..
That's why I said I didn't had any better solution. Under doubts, I always support the status quo (current form).
If it was a new bug I would say sure, post it in bug forum. But I've grave you an example of when it is easier to keep the bug in a single thread, specially bugs that are a lot common and exploited (zoom bugs, naval crossing, etc). I personally keep all my bugs report about walls in my thread that was made for that. I'll imagine if my thread was split between the bugs and the not-bug information, I would have to open two different threads to understand how it happen. I am not the only person who does it - notice how in "A Complete Guide to Turnblocking(TBs)." Laochra also posted several bugs in regard to how naval and merging stacks works. At the same time Pulse also posted a GIF about sea walls in his GIF guide. All those bugs were PM'ed the admins about. I find it is easier to them if the bug is along with the general information (this is just my opinion). Nothing of this belong to 'General Discussion' as you probably noticed though, but to strategy / strategy / question forums respectively. Only the first case (My thread about tips, tricks and common knowledge) is the one who (I think) belongs to general discussion (even though Laochra moved it). My conclusion is that if a thread of general information contains a bug that is on the same topic, then it should stay there. If the bug is independent of the thread then it should go to the bug section.
You've wrote a lot of controversial things here... Anyway, this is a small community, and the administration doesn't earn enough to contract a person who would CARE about he mechanics. The best they have is their judgement, and the community's opinion. That's why making threads about strategies, let the people discuss, then let the admins decide which change to implement is a pretty good idea. My conclusion is to give players the right (or as you call it: "Privilege") to suggest a boost/Nerf and then let the admins decide is a good idea. Letting the players decide is also a good idea, but less effective than letting the admins due to the reason you've already said(Some of them will try to protect their loved strategies).

By all means go ahead and make your threads detailing your strategies and how you used a few bugs to make is possible. All I am saying is if it is a bug report(i.e I managed to get a destroyer to cross from Baltic to Mediterranean through Europe) make a post about it in the bug forum. If you have detailed bug in your strategy posts feel free to keep them there, and only make a post about it in the bug forum if you have no tips/tricks to add involving it.
You got to brush up on your reading skills. I am not telling you to not discuss boost by all means go ahead and discuss adding 30 attack to None bombers, the admins and mods do read your opinions and we do relay the information to the admins. What I mean by petitions is.. The equivalent for strategies/units aswell.

Meester, actually you are wrong. Nobody visits the custom map/scenarios/Showcase forums. i believe that those 3 should be merged, or at least scenarios/custom maps.

This is true for me, aswell. He's never sent me a PM detailing his problem( He actually ignored me and claimed I ignored him..) Waffel Schmaffel! Since the situation happened between 2 people and the other person( the "sufferer") makes posts to frame the other( mod) person, it's best not to get an 'unbiased' view, when that view can quickly be altered on the basis of how well the mod, in this case, is framed to be 'in the wrong'. Having said that, the same 'unbiased viewers' could aswell be the friends of either side of the 'argument'.
