Amend rules so threads dont get locked so easily.

CD has been lately locking threads due to personal attacks. Why not just punish the offenders, remove their messages and don't lock the thread?

Personally, I think that it should be locked if the thread creator is involved in the personal discussion or if it has become totally off-topic.

I think you have a valid point and we could see more opinions on this.

Depends on whether the topic instigates an argument to be made. For example, Waffel's thread about evoL farming was obviously going to spark some heated discussions and fighting words were going to be said, regardless of the maturity of the people posting, so threads like that need to be locked. But for the rest of locked threads, I agree with this.

Remove the off-topic/hate speech and punish them. That should make it.

Sometimes it is not convenient to delete immediately the trouble-threads... they have to be kept as evidence for further actions. In these cases it is not just about deleting them, but rather locking the topic. But basically yes; what Pin said.

I think locked threads shouldn't be given out so fast. Many of my threads have been locked for no reason at all in a serious thread. Sometimes mods do it for personal agendas and sometimes they just don't understand how a thread contributes to a topic area/the game itself.

This is probably true in some cases. In these cases, if the topic was important, please communicate to mod/mods to seek for reasons of locking and possibilities to unlock topic.
