We need some sort of confirmation to the translation of maps and the proportions players are in. Please answer truthfully! Thanks!
Players who only speak English can ignore this...

Yoba... I started this poll and I am British Chinese.... I don't think I need the distinction between the spoken languages of Mandarin and Cantonese, since AW has no oral communication and only both dialects uses essentially the same writing script (one traditional and one simplified). If you can speak chinese then you can read the characters for it... That's all I care about.

No, there's dozens. From Mandarin to Uyughur, China covers not just many languages, but also language groups.
And Cantonese is not 'traditional Chinese', it's just a dialect (though it can be said that it's a separate language). By 'traditional Chinese', we tend to refer to the script it is written in ( not an alphabet). Simplified Chinese is the other one which was introduced by the Communists and is much much easier than traditional Chinese which is still used in Hong Kong, Macau and the Republic of China - possibly other areas too.

Ah, I didn't know it was a dialect, interesting. Yeah I knew there were more spoken languages, I only knew the two main ones. Mandarin I know is used in Beijing and that traditional is like you said still applied in Hong Kong and Macau.
