I think the last 4 years it snowed from like february to april lol, if my Illinois friends were telling the truth. Global Warming has really changed the definition of winter for Illinois. However they told me that there was snow today in Illinois; I assume you're in northern Illinois near Chicago, where they are. It wasn't snowing south of Chicago, so you must be near the Wisconsin border

Boi thats one of the coldest inhabited locations on earth xD, of course it'll be like -40 F. US temperatures on the other hand almost never go below -10 F, except in maybe Alaska. Big winter coats can more than easily handle that -10 F. Hoodies aren't enough though
