Thoughts on Alternate History?

When I state "Alternate History", I don't mean GGG. I mean logical, interesting Alternate History that has a good story attached that explains shit, and retains game balance and fun.

Depends how far you want to go.

Going sligthly like in the 90', for example US dont invade Irak, then alternate history would be Russia just has another ally in middle east beside Syria and Iran.

Going further into history like 1939 and killing hitler means no WW2 would happen, military wouldnt develop and USA/USSR wont engage in cold war.

Further you go you might stop Austrian invasion and WW1, which mean alternate would be EU still had kingdoms and monarchies.

If you go way in the past and stop barbarians of ruining Roman Empire - medieval era wouldnt happen, then rennaisance would exist, industrial era would happen 700-800ad and not 1800. By 2000 we would already colonize planets and explore other galaxies.

I love the concept of Alternate History and I find the possibilities endless. Endings to wars or sudden shifts in teams before a major war is my favorite by far (Japan with USA in WW2 and China with Hitler lol)
