Blitzkrieg vs Sky Menace

So I'm just wondering which one is better. I've been using blitz for a lot of games now but I'm thinking of using sm. Which one is better?

That depends on the map, if it's a team game, FFA, 1v1, etc.

Overall, I think SM is easier to play and works better in more situations.

The main problem with SM is that you need to manage your funds really carefully, as you rely on air transports for movement (few troops, fast movement) and bombers to attack, both of which are extremely expensive.

This rules out playing 5k in most cases. Be prepared to spend lots of money, possibly go bankrupt in the first 4 weeks and beg your allies for money. On the other hand it is very powerful and you can move very quickly if you can get hold of air transports. You also don't need enormous troop numbers to play it, I've beaten an opponent who had almost three times as many troops as me once with SM. They were playing Naval Commander. It was certainly my finest hour in this game (or rather, 3.5 hours, because they were playing as China).

I don't have any experience with Blitzkrieg as I'm happy with SM but Blitzkrieg has weak aspects too. From what I've seen though, Blitzkrieg's main negative points are the fact that units are weak and that you may not always need really fast movements, depending both on the map and your strategic objectives.

For instance, you may want to skip over a few capitals if you're conquering your way to your opponent on the other side of the world. It's a waste of troops. Likewise, in Europe you don't have to travel very long distances to get to places. Attacking your enemies first turn is usually not allowed either (if you do, you'll make a lot of enemies) so that use is deprecated .

Overall, Blitzkrieg is probably best on bigger maps and Sky Menace wherever you have a crapload of money.

Blitzkrieg relies on skill a lot more than brute force like Sky Menace does with its near-invincible bombers. You must pick your targets carefully (and you can travel far and disrupt your enemies' plans!) when attacking because you're just as likely to fail.

Sky Menace is the tits during 50k games though. I'd highly recommend it for that use case. Blitzkrieg I have no experience with to comment on.

Both are expensive strategies and require a fairly decent economic zone. overall sm is better and can expand just as quickly as blitz if used properly.

Its only useless when you haven't mastered it.

Sm is better powerfull bombers :3

I'm still addicted to using Blitz since it give your units extra range and more view range.

Sky menace is way better. Blitzkrieg doesn't stand a chance against it. Sky menace will beat blitzkrieg 999 out of 1000 times.

That's true. Blitz is good if no one is bothering you and you can build up a big army before you fight. However, if someone is attacking you from the start of the game, Sky Menace will always win because they can take new lands faster than you and they have the range to attack you with bombers from everywhere.
