Can't take country

So, I was playing 3v3, and first turn me (Greece) and Germany both attacked Austria, I won and it showed in battle report and then I saw this
Next turn we both attacked empty Austria again and same thing happened, I won and my units didn't capture Austria, instead they went in Slovakia which I didn't attack
So finally third turn I attacked alone and took it
So my conclusion is that this is a bug which can happen when 2 opponents attack same country, but I'm not really sure how or why this happens.

Btw same thing happened yesterday just against a player... I was capping Berlin as UK, said I won battle of Berlin and my stack didnt take it and Berlin had 0 units left in city. Mia was my opponent, she was confused also...

Yes please... this is so annoying.
I was playing SM I hit Russia Volga with 2 bombers and 2 infantries

We all know bombers have higher attack so they fight/die first.
Turn 2 I had 1 bomber left and 0 infantries and russia volga was also 0..... but it was still neutral.
