How are we supposed to relentlesly attack when not encouraged with buffed main attack unit? Tank General (original strategy before RA) was perfect, or atleast way better than current RA(for its purpose). Main atack unit is not buffed, just got more range, but isn't that Blitzkrieg? We need attacking strategy, because we already have manouver strategy in the strat list.

I never talked about strats before because i thought we will get custom strategies, or atleast strategies will remain for cw while mapmakers make their own units for maps where strats wont affect gameplay much, but since we didnt get custom strats(i prefer old strats over custom tbf), i think TG return will make maps more fun for our current state of the game. Now with maps, it will work even better (ww1, ww2, even ancients and fantasy).

Do note that i am talking about scenarios/maps here, not 3v3/cw, because i think majority of games played are maps, and i don't play 3v3 anymore, so i can't talk or ask about TG for that. Maybe TG return would f*** up cw, be op, i don't know, but i don't think admin should completely remove attacking strategy focused on main attack unit because of that, especially now when we have so many maps where TG can be used without being op.

Whoa its been over half a year since i posted this. Time flies by. I would like to remind people of this proposal, if that is possible without topic getting locked.

TG (tank general) had i believe +1 attack, +1 defence and -10 cost (i'm really lazy to search old forum), but for new TG i think +1 attack -10 cost (or 20?) is enough, no need for def buff.

Name is also important because it emphasizes offensive main attack unit, RA means all or most units are buffed offensively (yet in reality none). PD for example is focused on infantry (and militia), but RA isn't. I also forgot but i think TG infantry was nerfed, -1 def or -1 attack (most probably -1 defence).
Maybe if name stays (RA) then it still needs main attack units buff (+1 att); tanks, bombers, maybe destroyers. But since i like simplicity, buffing tanks and nerfing infantry is enough.

+1 attack for main attack units
-10 cost for main attack units
-1 defence for main defence units

What do you think?

RA is fine, infact it has the most efficient tanks... 8 attack 8 range 10 crit for only 90 cost. It just has a bad rep because people like to overplay PD and imp and think everything revolves around defensive game-play, PD yes, is a direct counter to RA due to the PD infantry bonus against tanks, any other strategy gets mauled by RA tank spam. All in all its balanced and anyone who disagrees feel free to pr me for a duel ill play it and beat your ass.

Literally the opposite of the -1 in a city bonus. where units get +1 attack while in cities

Does that make sense? Tanks are offensive units (atleast in this game for the sake of simplicity), so why +1 attack when stationary?

Before I quit, I had made a comprehensive rework of Tank General with Lelouch and Witch Doctor that would have capitalized on full offensive ground units unlike Relentless Attack which is more nebulous. With this we also had capacity for a variant tank unit. Really made Turkey and Germany feel special.

I don't think implement new or old strategies will work for this game anymore, since the staff has no vision and no motivation to complete anything. You would just end up with a D-tier strat if you reimplement the original TG, considering its last few nerfs involving oldschool TB, it'll be absurdly shit.

Ah that's different, we misunderstood each other: attacking a city and in city are two different things. So is it possible; gaining hidden bonus attack when you attack a city? Game will recognize when its open battle and when city battle, is that what you rely on?

Yeah, I mean they've already have a base to that since they're already an in-city bonus so i suppose they could add in a mechanic for such

You could still give the +1 attack but i think also adding the +1 attack in city bonus would also give it a uniqueness to the strat unlike others
