Why is brussel considered capital of europe?

Sorry for my lack of knowledge

why did the eu pick this city as its capital? what is so special about brussels that overcomes paris rome or london for example?

Probably to maintain a balance of power, if Eu HQ were in Berlin or Paris, or London or Rome, would mean they'd have a bonus importance over the rest of the european countries, on my point of view.

On my point of view also, it's because Brussels and Belgium has a certain 'centrality' towards the other European countries, since it's basically in the middle/close to lots of EU countries.

And also I think it was chosen because Belgium was always a state forced to be neutral/debuffer zone, as it was in WW1, and WW2.

they kicked us out of aifa (uefa of asia) so we joined uefa

to the eurovision almost every nation in the world can join, it's not for europe only for very long time

Because it was cenral city of the former members(Western Germany,France,Italy and benelux.)

About Eurovision, they invite 'honorary' competitors or some thing, I think If I'm not mistaken, they've invited Australia once

Belgium was created in 1815 as a tampon-state to France, then in 1830 when they got independence they were forced to be permanently neutral or something (UK compromised to defend Belgium incase of agression- one of the reasons why UK declared war on germany (violation of belgium neutrality) ).
