2. Why did we change the definition of a vaccine from "protecting us against pathogens" [to] "stopping the spread of a virus"? Vaccinated people still get the virus, and vaccinated people still spread the virus.
^^ this, exactly. I hate how non-vaccinated people like me are being demonized, as if we are somehow being "cruel" to the rest of society (I have a liberal friend who used that exact word to describe us). The whole point of the vaccine is to protect MYSELF, not everyone else. If I choose not to get it, then the only person at risk is me. It's equivalent to me wearing a seatbelt when I drive... if I choose not to, the only person at risk is me. How am I a risk to you?? It boggles the mind.
And for what its worth, I'm not anti-vaccine. However since I've already had Covid and recovered from it, I now have natural immunity which several
studies have shown to be even better than the vaccine. Anybody who insists I still get the vaccine at this point is being driven by ideology, not science.
