OK, just to confirm, this guy is legit and not someone who just hacked the website 
We kept him under wraps for almost half a year now, sharing our vision and plans for the game. He was actually the catalyst for the ambitious Custom maps update.
His actual work with AW started just now, and look out! - he's obviously gearing up to bring masses of new players to the game
With the pressure of doing the promotion (something me and Amok are not very fond of) off our backs, we have more time to dedicate to the actual game development, yay! And with the potential increase in revenue, we're hoping to eventually concentrate on AW full-time.

have you thought about, that amok and ivan are not searching for developers? At the start of many projects promotion is very important !!
(btw. i don't believe you that you can code a well-formed website from scratch in 2h including SEO, semantic pattern, browser compatibility,... )

They have before. When kongregate was integrated there were sometimes 400+ online for that first week. With elme now on the team I expect those numbers to be higher in the future.

As mentioned we have made plans that in the long should bring AW to the next level. We will keep you guys updated as thing progress. And yes more players, "quicker/bigger" updates and more diversity is on the drawing board.
But I have to stress that NOTHING is certain. Therefore no promises, deadlines etc. right now. We'll keep you posted.
